The Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program continues through June and July in the Latah County Library District. Registration is open through June Monday, June 28th. Registrants can enter to win prizes and participate in fun free events for all ages of readers. All Summer Reading Events are free and open to the public. June 27-June 30th – Deary & Bovill Public Libraries – To-Go STEM Kits. First come first serve for children.

 

June 28 – Tuesday – 2:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m – Potlatch Public Library – To-Go STEAM bags. Each Tuesday Potlatch library will have a take home bag (first come first serve) for children. Each bag will contain one STEAM project that the child can take home and do with their family.

 

June 30 – Thursday – 10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. – Troy Public Library – Sea Creature To-go Activity Bag. Pick up this enjoyable and surprising ocean-themed activity at the library, geared towards elementary-age kiddos.  Supplies are limited, to-go activities are given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

June 30 – Thursday – 10:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.– Bovill Community Library – To-Go STEM Kit. Youth of all ages are invited to pick up a fun STEM kit anytime on Thursday June 30th and have a blast at home!

 

June 30- Thursday – 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. – Juliaetta Community Library – Button Making.

 

June 30 – Thursday –  ALL DAY – Moscow Public Library – Bon Collage To-Go Activity. Summer readers of all ages are invited to stop by the Moscow Library beginning at 10:30 a.m. to pick up a to-go activity (while supplies last)! Set sail – Board a plane – Hop in a vehicle.  And get ready for an adventure of a lifetime! Using the materials enclosed in your to-go kit, create a collage detailing your (fictional) experience.  Feel free to jazz up your artwork with supplies from home. Return your artwork to the Moscow Library for a chance of having your creation displayed!

 

June 30 – Thursday –  11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. – Genesee Community Library – Oceans of Trees, Plants and Flowers. Summer Readers of all ages are invited to join the Genesee Library and welcomes Charlene Purtee who will enlighten and educate about honeybees and their associated pollinator plants. See what a real hive looks like and try on a bee suit. There will be no live bees.

 

June 30 – Thursday – 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. – Moscow’s East City Park–­ Entertainment in the Park – Community members of all ages are invited to join The Moscow Public Library and the City of Moscow Arts Department at East City Park for Entertainment in the Park! Entertainment in the Park takes place every summer at Moscow’s East City Park. This series aligns the Moscow Arts Commission’s arts education programming with the Moscow Public Library’s summer reading program, which encourages school-aged children to engage in reading and learning throughout the summer. Tonight’s Event features: Storytime with the Moscow Public Library, Extreme Science with Radical Rick and the MAC band!
