MEET OUR PEOPLE

Jenny Ford

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jenny graduated from the University of Idaho with her B.S in 2005 and Masters in 2009. She has lived in Moscow for the past 20 years, previously serving as the Executive Director of SMART Transit prior to her role at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center in March 2017. As Executive Director, Jenny serves at the pleasure of the Board of Directors and takes on a range of responsibilities; organizational structure and procedures, income and expenditures, grant writing and implementation, creation of new programs and collaboration between various entities and businesses across the Palouse. She appreciates the opportunity to advocate for the business community and to create connections between agencies to benefit the greater good of the incredible region we live in. Jenny represents the Chamber on several committees such as the City of Moscow Farmers Market Commission, North Central Idaho Travel Association, Chair Palouse Marketing Committee, University of Idaho Vandal Scholarship Fund, Idaho Chamber Alliance Member, and Community Liaison Moscow Young Professionals (MYP). She also serves on all Chamber committees: Government Affairs, Tourism and Marketing, Education and Events, and Recruitment and Retention. She graduated from Leadership Idaho Agriculture (LIA) in 2019. Jenny resides in Moscow with her fiancé, Nick and appreciates the beautiful landscape of the region and state of Idaho.

Stephanie Allen

MEMBER SERVICES AND PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

Stephanie and her husband Brandon moved from Southern Idaho to Moscow with their two little girls, in 2016. Since moving to Moscow, she has fallen in love with everything this town has to offer. She has been in her current role at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce since December 2018. Stephanie is the Member Services & Programs Coordinator, which oversees the chamber’s membership, focusing on recruitment and retention. Some of the projects she has worked on include the Dining Guide, Food Lover’s Guide, Visit MoscowId.com, and the Chamber Directory. She also oversees the Ambassador program. Stephanie’s favorite part of her job is getting to know the Chamber Members, “It is a privilege to know so many great minds, entrepreneurs, and true fans of Moscow… this job has allowed me to see the depths of this community and I will forever be grateful for that”.

Referrals of member businesses to people needing goods and services in the Moscow area through telephone contact with staff, e-mail, online, and the Member Business Directory. Event and business promotion through economical advertising in the, “Choose the Palouse” Visitor Guide, Relocation Kits and the Events Calendar.

Information

Current Issues of interest to the community tackled by the monthly Membership Luncheons.A unique two-day interactive educational experience through the Annual Legislative Tour, which brings members to Boise during the legislative session to meet with chief elected officials, agency staff, and legislators.

Education

Leadership Moscow works to cultivate leaders in Moscow and Latah County by offering a concentrated, hands-on learning experience to enhance and build leadership qualities.  Leadership Moscow works to develop advocates for Moscow and its surrounding rural communities who will serve as a voice for the Moscow and Latah County for generations to come.

Networking

Opportunities to make contacts through Chamber functions such as Membership Luncheons, Business After Hours, the annual Chamber auction, and other events. Introduction to the community through a new member feature in the newsletter and Facebook with the ability to expand contacts and clients through display of company brochures and business cards in the Chamber Visitor Center. Interaction with neighboring communities in North Idaho and Eastern Washington through alliances with chamber and economic development groups.
