The 2021 Pavement Preservation Slurry Seal project will begin on June 14, 2021, and is expected to be completed by June 18, 2021.
The Pavement Preservation Slurry Seal project consists of applying an Asphalt Slurry Seal Coat (Type II) to multiple roads within the City of Moscow. Slurry Seal is a thin layer of fine rock mixed with asphalt that is applied to the road sealing the surface. This application reduces surface wear and extends the longevity of the road.
The City of Moscow has contracted with Blackline Inc., to complete this project. Blackline will be notifying residents of street closures 48 hours in advance.
During the project, citizens are asked to be aware that there will be some single lane closures and some temporary full street closures with detours, depending on locations. The Slurry Seal application is a quick process allowing vehicles to drive on the new surface within approximately 3 to 5 hours. The City of Moscow appreciates the community’s patience as these necessary repairs and upgrades to the City’s infrastructure are completed.
While every effort is made to adhere to the daily schedule, unforeseen circumstances may require an adjustment. For questions about the schedule or concerns about resident access, please contact Blackline Inc. at 509-218-1221.
