The Latah County Historical Society will be hosting the Idaho Songs Project, featuring music by Gary Eller on May 1st at 7pm. The event is slated for the McConnell Mansion lawn, so audiences are encouraged to bring their own chairs/blankets and snacks. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the McConnell Mansion. The Mansion is located at 110 S. Adams St. in Moscow. This program is free and open to the public to attend.
The Idaho Songs Project was started in 2006 for the purpose of finding, interpreting, and preserving songs written before the radio era (before 1923) about Idaho’s early people, places and events. Such songs provide unique glimpses into the culture of early Idaho from the bottom up. This program will feature music from the panhandle region. Eller will also have books and CDs based on his research available for purchase.
