The City of Moscow, in conjunction with the Intermountain Fair Housing Council and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, is hosting a FREE Fair Housing workshop on April 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The training will be held in the Lecompte Auditorium at the Moscow 1912 Center located at 412 East Third Street.

Topics to be addressed include the basics of the Fair Housing Act, hot topics, and trends under all protected classes — Equal Access and Bostock, VAWA/FHA Protections for Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking and Violence, and HUD’s New Reasonable Accommodation and Assistance Animal Technical Assistance Tools.

The workshop is open to the public, and will prove to be especially beneficial to consumers, housing providers and managers, realtors, lenders, housing advocates, and government personnel and officials. Presenters will be Private Attorney Ken Nagy, IFHC Education Director Peg Richards and IFHC Attorney Monica Fabbi. Moscow’s Fair and Affordable Housing Commission encourages all interested parties to attend this important training opportunity.
