February 10, 2022 — John Bohman, a Troy area farmer, announced he will be running for the Latah County Board of Commissioners, District 3.

“I am excited to be a candidate for the Latah Board of Commissioners from District 3.  I have been a Latah County resident my entire life and chose to continue the tradition of raising my family here on our century family farm outside of Troy on Little Bear Ridge.  Since 1991, I have co-owned and operated Ridgeview Farms and beyond that, I am truly invested in my local community and Latah County.”

Bohman has been active in various community groups, non-profit organizations, and leadership roles.  He has served as an elected officer for the Troy FFA Alumni, Troy EMS and currently serves as the Troy Volunteer Fire Department Chief.  Bohman was elected to serve as a member of the Farm Service Agency Latah County Committee for 9 years (three, 3-year terms). He represented the agricultural producers in the county by ensuring the Farm Service Agency’s programs were administered fairly and equitably.

“Since I grew up on the farm, I have deep roots in rural Latah County.  I strive to make our local community successful and work to encourage people to reach their full potentials.”

“I am excited to travel around the County and to meet as many people as I can.  I will listen and be attentive to the residents of Latah County which will generate reasonable, respectful discussions on current topics and encourage innovative ideas for the future.”

Bohman is running as a candidate from District 3 in Latah County which is currently held by Dave McGraw (a two-year term).

Bohman has appointed Crystal Tibbals as his campaign treasurer.  For more information visit: www.bohmanforlatah.com to learn more about John Bohman.
