August 17, 2022 (Moscow, Idaho) — The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission invite the public to Poetry in the Park, an event at the East City Park stage on Thurs., August 25 at 6 p.m.

Moscow Poet Laureate, Stacy Boe Miller, will host an evening of poetry readings and musical performances by Moscow-area artists. Admission is open to all, free-of-charge, and attendees are also welcome to enjoy a variety of seltzers and popcorn from the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre.

The Moscow Poet Laureate Program increases awareness of the role that poetry and literature play in the community and creates a record of Moscow’s distinctive character. Not only does the program support the work of excellent poets in the community, but it also invests the public spaces of Moscow with the beauty of language. Along with offering readings and workshops, the Poet Laureate writes poems for the City that are reflective of local landscapes, social situations, or important events.
