Pre-season ticket promotion wraps up on July 31st making way for regular season ticket sales, fall auditions, and early season appearances in August.

PALOUSE REGION, JULY 26, 2022 – Long time and new patrons still have a few days to take advantage of the PCS discounted season ticket sale that runs through Sunday, July 31st. Beginning August 1st all season and individual concert tickets will be available on the PCS website. Other 2022-2023 season preparations underway include auditions for all PCS choirs and two early appearances during the month of August.

Palouse Choral Society’s annual pre-season ticket promotion provides a significant discount at $45 per set of four tickets, one for each of PCS’s season concerts.  At the promotion’s conclusion, regular priced season tickets at $60 per set and individual concert tickets will be available through the organization’s website: palousechoralsociety.org. 

Chorale and Chamber Choir will kick off the new season with two bonus appearances in August. Friday, August 28, the choirs will perform during the WSU Fridays at the Clock series followed by the Gladish Performing Arts Gala on Saturday, August 29th.

The first of this season’s regular concert series, “Oh, What a Fright!: A Halloween Spooktacular”, is scheduled for October 30th. The rousing Halloween-themed performance by all three of PCS choirs also features the winning performance of PCS’s inaugural Choral Composition Contest, “Dormi Jesu,” by Gianluca Pantaleo. 

Patrons will be treated to Camille Saint-Saëns’s Christmas Oratorio during the annual holiday concert, “Glory of the Radiant Dawn” on Sunday, December 18th and octavos by many living and historic women composers during the March 5th, 2023 performance of “Still, I Rise”.  

Concluding their 22-23 season, Palouse Choral Society joins Washington State University choirs and orchestra for “A Classical Collaboration” featuring Haydn’s “Mass for Troubled Times” the evening of Thursday, April 20th.  

Scheduled for mid and late August, PCS invites all interested singers to sign up for auditions and join the organization’s inspirational 23rd season. Adult singing members can expect to have all of the previously mentioned six performance opportunities for their calendars. PCS Children’s Choir singers will perform in the fun October concert this fall and the inspirational March concert next spring. In addition, the Children’s Choir delights the Palouse region communities with periodic flash mob and nursing home appearances.
