Palouse Choral Society is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Matthew Myers as their Artistic & Music Director beginning July 1, 2022. New to the Palouse region Dr. Myers currently serves as PCS Guest Conductor and works as assistant professor of choral music education at Washington State University where conducts the University Singers and teaches courses in music education, conducting, voice, and rock history. Like performing arts organizations all over the world, Palouse Choral Society took an 18 month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Carefully following safety protocols for choirs, Dr. Myers successfully rehearsed and conducted the choral society for their first post hiatus concert in November 2021 and returns to the PCS podium on February 12th for “This is How You Love” and the society’s belated 20th Anniversary Celebration on May 1st.
