Spokane, Wash. March. 14, 2022: Approximately 950 Avista and 2,850 Clearwater Power customers in Potlatch, Princeton, Harvard, Sanders, Tensed, Emida, Fernwood, Clarkia, Santa, and the surrounding area will experience a power outage starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27. Customers who will be impacted by the outage will be notified by phone or email.
The work will be conducted south of the Potlatch Junction on Highway 95, near the Palouse cutoff Road (Highway 6). Line crews will be relocating transmission and distribution power poles to accommodate Idaho Department of Transportation (IDOT) road work that will take place. Commuters will experience intermittent lane restrictions and road closures on Highway 95 near the Palouse cutoff Road on Sunday, March 27 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Additional lane restrictions and road closures are possible March 14 through March 31. Traffic control will be in place while the work is being conducted.
Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
