The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, in partnership with the Lionel Hampton School of Music, strives to honor the jazz traditions of the past, while exploring new and current approaches. As the largest outreach event at the University of Idaho and one of the largest educational jazz festivals in the world, the festival will continue its mission of educating students about the exciting and wondrous possibilities available to them through jazz and music for decades to come.
The festival consists of:
