The Moscow Mentor Program, part of the Moscow School District, is dedicated to strengthening our community by promoting nurturing friendships between youth and responsible, caring adults. Through weekly, one-on-one meetings during the school day, mentors provide guidance and support as students pursue their personal, family, and academic dreams.
Mentors—ranging from trained community members to high school “Bear Buddies”—are carefully matched with elementary-aged students after a thorough application and screening process. These relationships help students build confidence, improve social and behavioral skills, and stay engaged in their education.
By fostering trust and connection, the Moscow Mentor Program not only empowers young people to thrive but also creates a culture of care and mentorship that enriches the entire Moscow community.
