Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival

First held in 1967 and honoring its namesake artist, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is one of the oldest and largest jazz extravaganzas in the world. This three-day celebration features more than 400 student performances, a dozen renowned musicians and nearly 100 workshops and special exhibits.

Since the 1960s, the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is one of the largest and oldest educational jazz festivals in the world.
