The Latah County Historical Society is launching a fundraising campaign to raise money for much-needed maintenance on the McConnell Mansion. All 41 windows in the house are original to its 1886 construction and are in desperate need of restoration and preservation. The wood surrounding the panes of glass is deteriorating and exposing the windows to hazardous conditions. In order to save the original glass and preserve the house for future use, LCHS is raising funds for contractor fees and grant matching funds to assist with the work required. Upcoming donation opportunities include the Alternative Giving Market of the Palouse and Idaho Gives, in which all money raised will go towards this project. Stay tuned for additional special fundraising events and news on the progress of the project.
