League of Women Voters Speakers Series

Join the LWV Moscow for a Speaker Series presentation, Optimizing Education for All Students, featuring Moscow School District Superintendent Shawn Tiegs on May 1 at 12 p.m. at the 1912 Center LeCompte Auditorium.

From Superintendent Tiegs “Our education system is most successful when we provide opportunities for every child to discover what excites them and gives them a reason to learn for the rest of their lives.” 

Tiegs earned a bachelor of science in mathematics from Lewis-Clark State College with minors in information systems and chemistry. Tiegs also studied at the University of Idaho where he earned his masters of education in Curriculum and Instruction and an ed specialist degree in educational leadership. He holds Idaho teaching endorsements in biology, physics, natural science and mathematics for grades 6-12. Prior to Moscow schools, Tiegs was Superintendent and Technology Director at the Nezperce School District.
