Figure and Face: Intermediate and Advanced Clothed Figure Drawing Class
Join Figure & Face, a dynamic art class tailored for intermediate and advanced artists aged 18 and older. This focused workshop explores the complexity of the clothed human figure and portraiture, emphasizing both technical skill and expressive depth. Through live model sessions, you’ll refine your understanding of anatomy, movement, and mood in capturing the human form.
Each session provides guidance in rendering clothed figures with attention to fabric, posture, and composition, while portraits delve into individual character and expression. Basic materials, including butcher paper and charcoal, are provided; however, students are welcome to bring their own preferred mediums, such as watercolor, colored pencils, acrylic, or oil paint, to enhance their artistic experience.
What’s Covered in the Class:
- Advanced techniques for drawing the clothed figure with detail and precision
- Strategies for capturing personality and emotion in portrait work
- Exploration of proportion, composition, and personal style with live models
- A collaborative setting among dedicated artists focused on growth and refinement
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your technical abilities or to bring more expressiveness into your work, Figure & Face offers a unique opportunity to expand your skills with support and inspiration.
