43rd ANNUAL QUILT SHOW APRIL 12-13 IN MOSCOW
Moscow, ID — The public is invited to the 43rd annual Palouse Patchers’ Quilt Show April 12 and 13 at the Latah County Fairgrounds Event Center, 1021 Harold Street, in Moscow. Show hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The international theme “Around the World” highlights this year’s queen-size raffle quilt which is done in pastels; the block style is “trip around the world.” Tickets for $1 each are available at the show. A winner will be drawn on Sunday afternoon; you need not be present to win. Cookies with an international theme will be available in the kitchen with free refreshments.
Over 200 quilts made locally are expected to be shown. Attendees can purchase items from 8 vendor booths plus a scissor/knife sharpening service. While the quilts are not for sale, fabrics, kits, patterns, and related quilting and craft items will be for sale. And, Palouse Patchers’ members will be selling quilted and hand-made gifts.
The show has been an annual hit with families and community members since 1981 and is a showcase for beginners and experienced quilters from the Palouse region.
The fee to enter is $5.00 for the day, or $3.00 for seniors 65+ and children under 10. Cash and Venmo payments accepted. Groups can request a discount by contacting Madeline Martin at mjmartin@pullman.com
One quilter will be awarded a monetary prize if they win the Janet Freitag Challenge using this year’s theme “Bermuda Triangles.” Guild members will also compete for the Quilt Show’s Chairs’ Challenge called “My Dream Vacay.” Everyone can vote for their favorite quilts for Peoples’ Choice awards.
