The City of Moscow Community Events Division and Moscow Farmers Market Commission are pleased to announce the selected artist and their artwork for the 2024 Market Poster. The Commission selected five finalists out of 29 submissions to go to public vote. Finalist Julia Branen received the most public support capturing 691 votes for her artwork depicting downtown Moscow during a Farmers Market. A total of 1,558 votes were received. Brannen’s artwork will be featured on this year’s poster, and her original art will also be accepted into the City of Moscow Portable Art Collection.The 2024 poster will be available at the City information tent during Market hours, while supplies last. Opening day of the Moscow Farmers Market is May 4 and continues every Saturday, rain or shine, until October 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Market takes place in downtown Moscow on Main Street and in Friendship Square. The Moscow Farmers Market celebrates life on the Palouse by providing the community with the opportunity to buy and sell local and regional agricultural products (e.g., crops, meat, cheese, wine, etc.), distinctive handmade goods, artisan pieces, and original-recipe cuisine. This venue is meant to encourage and support sustainable economic, social, and environmental practices.
