We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Idaho Heritage Trust to restore our iconic marquee on Main Street. Our board of directors gathered on Tuesday to celebrate this milestone, marking a significant step towards reviving this historic gem. Notably, the Idaho Heritage Trust generously extended grants to nine historic theaters in Idaho, recognizing the importance of preserving our cultural heritage.

The restoration will include replacing neon tubes, fixing the metal lattice, updating backlights and plexiglass, and eliminating any signs of rust while staying true to its historical essence. Unlike modern LED upgrades, we’re preserving the marquee’s charm with neon tubes that resonate with its original aesthetic.

The total project cost is estimated to be $184,000 with the Idaho Heritage Trust grant covering a significant portion. To make this dream a reality, we’ll seek additional grants and launch a fundraising campaign.
