Spokane, WA- April 15, 2022
The wait is over. After two years, the Spokane Public Radio Record Sale returns! Join Spokane Public Radio May 14 and 15 for two exciting days of musical treasure hunting. Thousands of vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, equipment items and more will be for sale as a benefit for Spokane Public Radio.
The Record Sale will take place at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, in Spokane Valley. Stop by Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. or Sunday, May 15 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
From Beethoven to the Beatles, U2 to Motown favorites, albums from a broad cross-section of musical genres will be available. The Record Sale is a destination for collectors and fans of all styles of music- there’s something for everyone!
The event is free to the public. Additionally, free parking is available in the lot surrounding CenterPlace. Hardcore collectors and curiosity seekers will line up early to get top picks of music, films, or hard-to-find equipment.
Returning attendees will notice the sale looks a bit different this year. SPR staff worked with the Spokane Regional Health District and CenterPlace staff to come up with a new footprint which allows for the return of the sale while keeping community health and safety in mind. “We are excited to be back in the community with one of our most popular signature events. However, in an effort to keep volunteers, staff, and community members safe we will be implementing several Covid-19 protocols including requiring masks and encouraging social distancing, among other precautions.” says Stephanie Ingoldby, SPR’s Volunteer and Outreach Manager. Please check our website for Covid-19 guidelines.
The Record Sale is a vital fundraiser for Spokane Public Radio stations KPBX, KSFC, and KPBZ, which together serve as the Inland Northwest’s source for NPR, BBC, local news, an eclectic variety of national and local music programs, and events that promote the arts in the region.
