Festival Dance presents Ballet Fantastique’s Babes in Toyland on Nov 30th, 2022

Festival Dance & Performing Arts is excited to continue holiday traditions and bring back the exceptional artistry of Ballet Fantastique with Babes in Toyland on Wednesday, November 30th, with two showings, 5:30 & 7:30 PM at the Jones Theatre in Daggy Hall, on the WSU campus. Danced to the music of Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker, this jazzy rendition, set in Christmas Candyland, loosely weaves together characters from Mother Goose nursery rhymes creating a holiday-themed pageant while holding to the storyline of Victor Herbert’s madcap fairytale. Festival Dance & Performing Arts 50th Jubilee Celebration

Moscow, Idaho - Festival Dance & Performing Arts is celebrating 50 years of bringing professional dance to the Palouse during their Champagne Jubilee Benefit on Friday, November 4 from 6:30-9 PM at the 1912 Center. The public is invited to RSVP and attend the event focused on toasting the longevity of the organization with complimentary champagne, sparkling cider, hors d'oeuvres, and decadent desserts, all while viewing Academy dance performances, bidding on auction items, and receiving a Cha Cha lesson. New Academy Director and Community Engagement Specialist at Festival Dance

Rachel Winchester, choreographer, educator, and filmmaker, is joining the staff of Festival Dance & Performing Arts as Academy Director and Community Engagement Specialist, thanks to an American Rescue Plan award from the National Endowment for the Arts. Festival Dance is one of only two organizations in the state of Idaho to receive this award which will support the organization’s mission of greater outreach to the community. More
