The Sweetwater Bulky Waste Station will be closed on Saturday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The schedule will remain unchanged, with normal operation of the Myrtle Station occurring on Saturday, July 11th, and Sweetwater resuming operation on July 18th. Curbside collections occurring on Friday the 3rd will continue as scheduled.


Sweetwater Station is located at the grain elevators on Highway 95 at Sweetwater and is open the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.


Myrtle Station is located at the intersection of Highway 12 and Gifford Reubens Road and is open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.


Materials accepted at these sites include:
Appliances (old refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers, etc.), furniture (old couches, tables, bed frames and mattresses, etc.), tires (up to ten rimless tires per household when either station is open), household batteries, vehicle batteries, household construction debris (lumber, concrete, insulation, etc.), and other large items that can’t be taken by your weekly garbage technician. You can also drop off Cardboard, Mixed Paper, Tin, and Aluminum.
