Festival Dance Academy

Founded to foster a love of dance in the Palouse region, Festival Dance Academy offers high-quality instruction in ballet, jazz, modern and other styles for students of all ages. The academy also hosts performances by regional and national dance companies, bringing world-class talent to the local stage.

Hartung Theater

Built in 1973, the 417-seat Hartung Theatre is where the University of Idaho Theatre Department brings its productions to life. Grab a seat and enjoy a delightful mix of musicals, comedies and family-friendly performances.

Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre

Open since 1926, the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre isn’t just a historic theater—it’s a beloved local staple dedicated to classic films, family-friendly entertainment and community events.

Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival

First held in 1967 and honoring its namesake artist, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is one of the oldest and largest jazz extravaganzas in the world. This three-day celebration features more than 400 student performances, a dozen renowned musicians and nearly 100 workshops and special exhibits.

Since the 1960s, the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is one of the largest and oldest educational jazz festivals in the world. With over 400 student performances, a dozen world-class jazz artists and nearly 100 workshops, clinics and special exhibits, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival honors the music, dance and history of jazz music and one of its most honored artists, Lionel Hampton. Moscow Movement Arts Center

The Moscow Movement Arts Center is committed to providing classical and contemporary training for dancers of all ages and skill levels. Offerings include dance camps, summer programs and specialty courses in stage presence and performance makeup.

Regional Theatre of the Palouse

Rendezvous In the Park

Rendezvous in the Park is a cherished summer music and arts festival held in East City Park. This two-day, family-friendly event brings the community together with performances from local, national and international acts—complete with fun art activities for children.

Souvenir Swing

Founded by seasoned dancer Brendan Souvenir, Souvenir Swing is all about sharing the joy of partner dancing in a safe and welcoming environment. The studio offers class sessions, private one-on-one lessons and private lessons for couples. Be sure to mark your calendar for their annual June event, Loose on the Palouse event, which features workshops and social dancing.
