June 5, 2025 (Moscow, Idaho) — The 2025 Pavement Preservation Slurry Seal project will begin on Monday, June 9, 2025, and is expected to be completed by Friday, June 13, 2025. |
![]() This project will involve the application of a Type 2 “slurry seal” to multiple street surfaces across the city. A slurry seal is a thin mixture of asphalt emulsion and fine rock applied to the surface of the road. This treatment helps seal the pavement, reduce surface wear, and extend the life of the roadway.During the project, residents can expect a mix of single-lane closures and full street closures with detours, depending on location. Slurry seal is a fast-curing treatment, and most streets will be reopened within 3 to 6 hours after application. |
The City has contracted Blackline Inc. to complete the work. Residents will receive advance notice 48 hours prior to any closures affecting their neighborhood. While every effort will be made to follow the planned schedule, weather and other unforeseen circumstances may result in changes.ADA accessibility is a top priority for the City in all projects. If this project or any other City project is found to be impacting anyone’s ability to access public services, please email ejaccessibility@ci.moscow.id.us or call (208) 883-7600. For general proje |
