March 3, 2025(Moscow, Idaho) — The Moscow Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD) will host a recruitment open house from 12:00PM to 2:00PM on Saturday, March 15 at Fire Station 3 (229 Pintail Lane). The MVFD will be joining departments across the state as part of the Idaho Fire Chiefs Association (IFCA) campaign to recruit first responder volunteers.

The MVFD responds to over 3000 calls a year and is served by approximately 100 volunteer firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics. Our dedicated volunteers provide fire protection and EMS service for the City of Moscow and EMS service for the Moscow Rural Fire District.

Prospective volunteers will take a fire station tour and learn about upcoming volunteering and training opportunities. This campaign aims to show that anyone with the heart and desire to serve can volunteer, directly impact their community, and find personal growth.
