April 21, 2025 (Moscow, Idaho) — In honor of Arbor Day on Friday, April 25, the Moscow Tree Commission has partnered with Paradise Creek Regional High School and Rotary Club of Moscow to plant three redbud and two tricolor beech trees at Berman Creekside Park on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 1:15pm to 2:15pm. This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
With limited parking, the Tree Commission hopes those who are able to walk or bike to the park will do so, and encourages carpooling for those who come in a vehicle. Berman Creekside Park is located at 382 Styner Avenue along Paradise Path.
The ceremony will begin at 1:15pm at the Berman Creekside Park picnic shelter. Following the ceremony, participants will join Paradise Creek Regional High School students and Rotary Club of Moscow to plant the five trees.
Free bristlecone pine, Lewis syringa, and northern catalpa seedlings will also be available to adults to celebrate Arbor Day while supplies last.
Arbor Day is a worldwide celebration of the importance of trees. The City of Moscow and Moscow Tree Commission are committed to a community forestry program that supports a safe, healthy, and attractive urban forest.
