Join the Moscow America 250 Commission for three different events this week to commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial!
Wednesday July 1st 5:30pm, Moscow Public Library
Join the Latah County Historical Society, Latah Library District, and Idaho Public Television for a special pizza party and screening of the PBS documentary, Questioning the Constitution. Stop by for a slice of pizza, a discussion, and history, especially for teens! Pizza provided by Made By Us and Pizza to the Polls.
Thursday July 2nd 7pm, East City Park
The Moscow Community Band is graciously sharing the stage during their free concert for a reading of the Declaration of Independence by local kids. If your child (4th – 12th grade) is interested in reading a portion of the Declaration, please register by the end of the day on June 30th.
Saturday July 4th 9am – 12pm, Friendship Square
The Moscow America 250 Commission is the entertainment sponsor for the Moscow Farmers Market! Come on by the market to hear music by The ColdRail Blues Band and make Christmas ornaments to contribute to the Idaho tree headed to Washington DC this winter. Additional support for the music provided by the City of Moscow, Moscow League of Women Voters, Moscow Central Lions Club, Indivisible Moscow, and the Latah County Historical Society.
The America 250 “Dryland Agriculture Across the Palouse” exhibit will be available to view at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce + Visitor’s Centre until July 27th. However, the Chamber will be closed during the July 4th Farmers Market.
