A Taste of Sicily is hiring for a pastry chef or pastry cook.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
– Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus and create new dishes
– Ensure proper knife handling and use in food preparation
– Adhere to dietary department guidelines and restrictions for special diets
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
– Follow food safety protocols and guidelines
– Assist with catering events as needed
– Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment
Skills:
– Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and service techniques
– Proficiency in menu planning and recipe execution
– Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen setting
– Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
– Experience in the catering or food industry is a plus
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
