Voices & Votes Exhibit Closing Reception
Join the Latah County Historical Society and the University of Idaho Library for a closing reception of the Smithsonian Traveling exhibit “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America” on Monday, September 29th, from 4pm to 6pm at the UI Library.
This exhibit explores the history of voting rights, citizenship, and what it means to be an American through historic photos, artifacts, videos, and more. The closing reception will include activities and light refreshments and is free and open to all. The exhibit will be open through Friday, October 3rd.
“Voices and Votes” is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and state humanities councils nationwide. It’s tenure at the University of Idaho is made possible by the Idaho Humanities Council and is based on a larger exhibition by the National Museum of American History. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress.
