PALOUSE CHORAL SOCIETY “STILL I RISE”

Join the Palouse Choral Society for the third performance of its 2022-23 season, “STILL I RISE” in celebration of Women’s History Month. The Chamber Choir will perform music by women composers throughout history, including Clara Schumann, Amy Beach, and Ethel Smyth, as well as living composers like B. E. Boykin, Tracy Wong, and Rosephanye Powell. The Children’s Choir will make you smile with songs by Kathleen Ballantyne, Mary Lynn Lightfoot, Andrea Ramsey, and more.
Following the performance, special guest and award winning children’s author Diane Worthey will be holding a book signing for her newly released “Rise Up with a Song: The True Story of Ethel Smyth, Suffragette Composer”.
The performance begins at 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 5th, at Moscow First United Methodist Church (322 E. Third St., Moscow, ID). General admission tickets are $20 and available at palousechoralsociety.org. Admission is free for all WSU students and children aged 6-12.
