History of Hate: Hate Groups in Idaho

Join the Latah County Historical Society on Wednesday, March 15th at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre for “A History of Hate: Hate Groups in Idaho.” This lecture will be presented by Alisha Graefe, Library Archivist at Boise State University, followed by an opportunity for questions from the audience.

Graefe received her MA from Boise State in 2018 with her thesis, “American Hatred: Wild West Myths, Color-Coded Rhetoric, and the Shaping of the Aryan Nations.” Since then, she received her MLIS degree from San Jose State University and currently works at the BSU Special Collections and Archives. She also works as the official archivist and podcast director for the Treefort Music Fest.

The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre is located at 508 S. Main Street in Moscow. Doors will open at 6:30pm for the 7pm program. This event is free and open to the public, and the Kenworthy concession stand will be selling refreshments. “Hate Groups in Idaho” is a part of the Queer History Project funded in part by the Idaho Humanities Council, and further supported by the Latah County Human Rights Task Force and Inland Oasis.
