Gilmore’s creations of reclaimed discarded automotive, farm and industrial treasures will delight the audience. Gilmore creates functional items like lamps made from pistons, alternators, sewing machines and more. Her mythical outdoor art is delightful from small pieces to larger-than-life size creatures.
“Projects pop into my mind when I stumble upon parts and pieces, and the dreams don’t stop until I cut, weld, braze, and shape the scraps into treasures”. Shelly Gilmore
You may have seen some of her public installations at the Neil Library in Pullman, Moscow Library and the 1912 center in Moscow. She has been featured on Northwest Public Broadcasting from Welder to Artist.
