August 18, 2025 (Moscow, Idaho) — The City of Moscow has announced the upcoming deadline for candidates to file for the general election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Residents interested in running for office must submit their Declaration of Candidacy by Friday, August 29, 2025, at 5:00pm.
One mayor and three city council members will be elected, with each position serving a four-year term. To be eligible, candidates must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a registered voter who has lived in the city of Moscow for at least 30 days before filing.
A Declaration of Candidacy form, available at Moscow City Hall (206 E. 3rd Street, Room 304) and on the City’s website, must be submitted along with either a nonrefundable $40 filing fee or a petition signed by at least five qualified city electors.

- August 18-21: 7:00am to 5:30pm (closed from 12:00-1:00pm)
- Friday, August 22: Closed
- August 25-29: 8:00am to 5:00pm (closed from 12:00-1:00pm)
